In 2017, I joined Progressive Leasing to lead the redesign of its flagship financing application — a cornerstone product responsible for driving over $1 billion in revenue. The challenge was not just a visual and functional overhaul but a strategic transformation of an application used by both consumers and business employees, expanding its capabilities from in-store iPads to e-commerce platforms.

Taking a user-centered and strategic approach, I conducted extensive research, including on-site contextual interviews with end-users, store associates, and major retail partners like Best Buy, Mattress Firm, and Zales. These insights uncovered critical pain points, such as convoluted workflows and user drop-offs, that contributed to high abandonment rates. Armed with this data, I spearheaded efforts to simplify the loan application process, streamline workflows, and clarify complex information upfront.
Collaborating with legal, technical writers, and cross-functional stakeholders, I ensured compliance while delivering an experience that prioritized usability and transparency. Additionally, I facilitated the onboarding of new lender options, such as TD Bank, to expand financing solutions, making approvals faster and more accessible.

The results were transformative: an 11% increase in conversion rates, enhanced user comprehension of loan agreements, and a significantly faster, more user-friendly application process. This redesign not only elevated the user experience but also strengthened relationships with key retail and lending partners, solidifying Progressive Leasing’s position as an industry leader and paving the way for sustained growth.
